The Pro Desk Navigator
BaseThe base on the Navigator is designed specifically
for each vehicle, it takes into account the seat bolt location/pattern
and is custom built. The rotating ball socket is the same for all
Navigators, just the base changes. You'll loosen the front seat bolt,
slide the fork of the base under, retighten the bolt. The Rotating ball
socket will already be installed on the base for you.
You'll then slide the upright rod into the ball socket,
tighten the locking nut, and your upright is ready for the desktop. The
same ball socket is there on the desktop, just upside down.
This desk base plate is available for almost all
vehicles currently on the road, so when you order, just tell us
the vehicle make, year, and seat ( bucket, bench, split bench) and
we'll send the right base plate.
If you order a desk that we don't have a base plate for,
we'll call you and tell you and we can discuss other options, but for
the most part if your still driving it, we still make it.
*Notes* - This base does not drill into the floor
- those two base adjusting bolts have a round flat bottom that simply
pushes against the carpet/floor of the vehicle, lifting the base which
then creates tension against the seat bolt rail system, locking it
securely. The base is then very stable side to side, and front to back,
it's rock solid because it's fastened right under the seat rail.
It also does not obstruct the seat from moving, nor does
it interfere with the passenger in any way. The really neat thing, is
that this desk comes out by loosening the one locking nut you see,
lifting the rod and desktop out, leaving the small base plate, all in
about 8 seconds. The desktop can be removed from the rod in about 8
seconds or less and you have two pieces to store. Very simple, yet
incredibly productive.
